The 3 Things You Need To Hack Your Market Research
Successful selling is grounded on the foundation of thorough market research. Even before you create your product or service, a lot of time and energy should be spent on researching the market to find out what problems exist and how they can be solved.
When you know your audience, where they hang out, and what problems they have, selling becomes easier.
Before diving in to your market research though, there are 3 important things you need:
1. Google Adwords account
A Google Adwords account will help you build a list of targeted keywords related to your audience.
It’s free to sign up for one. Go to ads.google.com and create an account.
Setting it up is pretty straightforward. Just follow the instructions and you’ll have your Google Adwords account up and running in no time.
If you’ve been banned before, no worries. Just sign up from another computer.
2. Facebook ads account
A Facebook ads account is crucial because you’ll need it to be able to run and test targeted interests.
It’s also a free tool to use.
You can set it up with your personal facebook profile. But if you’re going to be managing several ad accounts, I’d recommend creating a business manager account.
To do that, go to https://business.facebook.com/ and create an account.
You’ll then be required to enter your business name and your business email address.
Once that is done, you’ll be redirected to your newly created account where you’ll need to add your Pages, ad accounts and other people.
If you need help with that, check the bottom of this page for articles and tutorials.
3. Your target market
Who is your target market?
For example, if you’re in the real estate industry, you need to have a basic idea of who it is you’re after. Start brainstorming and come up with a list of keywords. Some examples would be: Real estate investing, Real estate investor, Flipping houses.
It all depends on the niche you’re targeting.
Luckily, you don't have to spend a lot of time brainstorming keywords because the method that I'm going to show you is actually going to provide you with a lot of that data as to exactly who your target market is.
CONCLUSION
Now that we have these 3 things, our next focus will be using a keyword tool to find targeted lists. This is what we’re going to be talking about in our next post, which will be up tomorrow.
